Dr Francis Ohanyido is a physician and current National NTD Advisor /Representative of the Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases, an initiative of the Sabin Vaccine Institute Washington DC. He is also notably a Senior Fellow the West African Academy of Public Health (WAAPH), a major research, training and implementation organisation , and Board Member of the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood, Nigeria.

He is a member of WHO/Rollback Malaria’s Malaria in Pregnancy Working Group (MIPWG), and the United Nation’s global Diarrhoea & Pneumonia Working Group (DPWG). He was nominated into the Pneumonia Innovations Team (PIT) and Breastfeeding Innovation Team (BIT) of the MDG Health Alliance / Office of the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for financing the Health MDGs and Malaria . He has been a member of the National Task Force for Childhood illnesses and the Core Technical Committee of the Maternal Newborn & Child Health of the Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria.
