I have worked as a Policy Research Officer for one and a half years for a women's media non-government organization. I have three years experience as a researcher in social-economic issues, which include squatter issues, impact of deforestation on communities, and more recently on gender. I also worked for 2 years in the area of HIV/AIDS as a peer-educator. I have a first degree in Sociology and also have a background in Anthropology and hope to further my studies in 2011.My interests are in gender policies and the effectiveness of aid in Fiji and the Pacific. I hope to be able to contribute effectively to the development of my country.
