MUS is not much expanded to publish annual activities report. But it is customary in development sector to prepare annual report of the activities. In the above context, the annual activities report has come into focus. We know our area of work is limited, but at the same time we have unfathomable conviction that committed efforts will never be futile. My hats are off to the group members who are the soul of the organization. I also convey my gratitude from the core of heart to the field workers who undertake mammoth task in this concern. MUS is committed in up holding the potter’s community in regard to their livelihood, social status and rights as well as economic sustainability. We are available every time for the betterment of potter’s community. Vision: Establishing a productive and self-reliant pottery society privileged with fundamental rights in a poverty free sustainable socio-economical condition. Mission: To strengthen the pottery people with the tools needed to deal with their social, educational, economical, environmental, cultural and health predicaments for sustainable livelihood through enjoying social justice and legal rights. Strategy: a) Unify forgoing b) Potential human resource development c) Promotion of pottery products in home and afroad through technology transfer d) Poverty alleviation e) Access to service delivery including Health and Sanitation, Banking sector, Market promotion and legal support f) Professional rehabilitation g) Educational Patronization h) Lobbying, advocacy and media campaign Objectives: • To assist the ignorant, illiterate and poor pottery community in self-development by enhancing their bargaining power to sell their products. • To create self-development among the distressed pottery-persons by providing essential technical know-how. • To work for the shelter-less potters to remove their accommodation problem. • To provide special programs to upraise social status of potter community including the women. • To up raise the pottery workers status. • To build awareness on the intake of pure water and sanitation and access to health and family planning services and assisting the mother and children towards health care as well as awareness towards preventive measures of various infections diseases including HIV/ AIDS & STD. • To develop community health care centers for the Potter community. • To initiate enterprises of social forestation among the target people to enhance and ensure environment campaign dynamic • To assist pottery-people in their legal rights and privileges. • To conduct various training / workshop and fairs for human resource development, social & legal rights gender & development. • To access credit facilities for survival of this sector. • To assist the potter-men for reducing the intervention of middleman-ship.
