I am responsible for Communications and Health Promotion in the Department of Food Safety and Zoonoses at the World Health Organization, and more specifically responsible for the development and dissemination of the Five Keys to Safer Food message to prevent foodborne diseases all over the world. The Five Keys to Safer Food is a WHO global message to promote safe food handling practices and behaviours which is now recognized as an international reference source and used in schools, hospitals, canteens, home, ... in both developed and industrialized countries both to train food handlers and educate the consumers. I attended the COMBI training in NYC in 2007 and following this training, we developed a Five Keys to Safer Food Training course based on the COMBI methodology. The module available on the web is targetted to women and we pilot tested this training in several countries and the approach was very well received.
I am passionate in communications and education.
