I am a male Ugandan journalist with sixteen years of professional experience mainly in the print media, but I have also worked for Kagadi-Kibaale Community Radio. I have also contributed stories to Uganda Broadcasting Corporation Television (UBC TV) and radio. I hold the Diploma in Journalism which comprised subjects like; Mass Communication, Radio Journalism, Advertising/Public Relations, Print Journalism, Television Journalism, Photo Journalism, Development Communication, Information Technology and Support Subjects ( Sociology, Economics, Political Science and Press Law and Editing). I also have a certificate in the French language plus several other certificates. From July 9-August 3, 2007 I undertook the TASO Uganda TASO Experiential Attachment (TEACH) to combat HIV/AIDS. I have written many stories on HIV/AIDS, Child labour, health issues, water and sanitation. As a result, I won the 2007 Honourable Mention of the International Award for Excellence in Journalism (World Importance) for excellence in Communication, for Defending Fundamental Rights of all, for Raising Public Consciousness and for Promoting Values. It was organized by The World Forum of Professionals and Institutions in Secular and Religious Media and the International Catholic Union of Press (UCIP) at Sherbrooke, Canada on 8 June, 2007. In 2005, I won the Population and Development Annual Media Award for my outstanding coverage of Population and Development issues in Uganda. I have helped in compiling stories for the Mukono district PAF newsletters and helped in the video documentary for the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) and NAADS newsletter for Mukono district 2006.
