with a background in sociology and social work and a passion for ending gender based violence and discriminations i registered with the womens movement in Nigeria when i was 7 years old and till date has remained sensitive to the empowerment of women to enable them take charge of their lives. i currently work with Girls Power Initiative (GPI) Benin city as a programme facilitator. GPI promotes the sexual and reproductive rights of girls and is focused on empowering girls especially between 10 - 18 years of age with relevant life management skills and information to enable they grow into visible women and help them cope with the challenges of adolescence.
We educate girls on their rights and provide them with resources to advocate for these rights and address violations of these rights.
I am especially interested in the visibility of women in all spheres of decision making and believe that true development can never be acheived without the involvement of women.
