My name is George Orido, a writer with Kenya's oldest newspaper, The Standard. Based in Nairobi, I write features as well as entertainment. My interests include health, development, democracy, human rights, economics,culture and the arts.I also edit a biannual magazine, 'Peer Pointers' that focuses on experiences and practice of peer education around combating the spread of HIV and AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis, and others Sexually Transmitted Infections. Peer Pointers is published by the National Organization of Peer Educators (NOPE)together with Tone Communications. I am also a director, producer, playwright and actor with Tone Theatre Productions based at the Kenya National Theatre.
