is a freelance journalist, writing in-depth articles focusing on a wide range of issues including security issues, education, health, gender, environment, business, art and social issues for prominent local media outlets. I have prepared/wrote research oriented articles on historical sites, and has conducted interviews and written profile features focusing on the business community. Since the beginning of my career in journalism in 2000, has contributed over 71 articles, 10 box features, and over 35 reports to Daily Dawn, as well as over 75 articles to The News, over 10 articles in The Nation and over 70 reports cum articles to www.centralasiaonline.com/en. I often illustrates or does my own photography for my articles and has written a couple of short stories for teenagers. In 2004, one of my articles was selected as one of the top five entries in the Excellent Gender Sensitive reporting category of the Gender in Journalism Awards sponsored by the Pakistan Press Foundation in collaboration with UNESCO. I am a volunteer with Special Olympics Pakistan and is a member of the Lahore Press Club. I am a member of Punjab Bar Council and addressing environmental issues.
