I have had 16 year experience in the media and Communication industry reporting, writing and producing news feature programmes on advocacy issues. Some of these programmes and reports cover activities involving Non Governmental Organisations (BAOBAB for Women Rights, Social Economic Rights Agenda, SERAC, Stop Aids) and UN Agencies such as UNDP,UNIC AND UNCTAD. These NGO'S working on various aspects of human Rights in Nigeria. Some of my stories can be downloaded on www.voiceofnigeria.org . I am a Multimedia/ Online Journalism trainer, External Examiner and consultant to the Nigeria Institute of Journalism, Lagos, Lagos State Polytechnic-Mass Communication Department)Lagos State University, School Of Communication, Pan African University)School Of Media and Communication) and Chairman Education Committee , the Nigerian Union Of Journalists,, Lagos State Council. I have attended some of the best institutions for journalism training in the world, to prepare me for the challenges in the media industry. Aside from this; I had the requisite skills and training for a 21st century media events manager to add value to Amnesty organisation activities. These include a Master's Degree in Online Journalism, Certificate Internet Broadcast and Certificate In Human Rights Reporting. In my quest to acquire these skills and knowledge in and outside Nigeria, I had good contact and interpersonal relationship with diverse people of varying beliefs. My inter- cultural relationships at the Nottingham Trent University, UK stand out in this respect. I was a member of the National Union Of Journalists, UK as an International student for a year. Then, I also belong to the black caucus group of the highly revered union in the UK. My contacts in the International media also stand me out to co-ordinate effective media plans training and consultancy job for MSI. As an International Broadcaster for over a decade, I belong to the Commonwealth Journalists Association, CJA, Commonwealth Broadcasting Association, CBA, and the International Journalists ICT Network .These memberships afford me easy contacts with my colleagues anywhere in the world to assist in carrying out my media messages. These goodwill I intend to bring into fore in discharging my responsibilities at any MSI assignments. I represent, PANOS WEST AFRICA as correspondent in Nigeria. I won DAVIS Foster fellowship award for Africa Journalists of the year 2006. This fellowship earned me a three week media fellowship programme at the Poynter Institute of Media Studies to study Media Leadership/ Management and Train the Trainers Course. My Volunteering work for Non Governmental Organisations, religious bodies and immediate community is as asset to be explored for service delivery if am given the job at the World Bank . While serving these groups, I have worked as a managing editor for the religious newspapers and magazine called "The Truth "and Al Irfan". I equally contributed to publications of professional journals such as "VON Airwaves." I have over 15 publications, presentations and Press Releases, on the media, ICT, gender, humanitarian issues among others. In the area of international cooperation, I was instrumental to a proposed memorandum of understanding between Voice of Nigeria and West Africa Democracy Radio, WADR based in Dakar.
