I am a media development specialist and a key player in a team that has worked to revive the investigative genre of journalism in Nigeria as pioneer coordinator of the Wole Soyinka investigative reporting award. I also lead an initiative, NigeriaHIVinfo.com which is a peer review mechanism on media coverage and treatment of HIV/AIDS issues in Nigeria. I had convened forums of practitioners to examine missing links in media practice in Nigeria as well as conduct a review of our journalism education curriculum. Part of my activity also include a periodic media content review and analysis on different thematic issues of democracy and development. Currently, I am involved in an academic discipline as it concerns the ethical considerations of the journalism profession and the reality of the practice in Nigeria.
