I hold a Master of Science Degree in Public Health- Health Promotion from Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. I have worked in Uganda for a period of 11 years and in Botswana for two years. The first six years I worked on a reproductive health UNFPA funded program in schools to integrate RH issues in the curriculum and co-curricula activities including training of teachers. I also worked with Care International on a community RH program for promotion of family planning, safe motherhood and prevention of STIs including HIV/AIDS for three years. I later worked with JSI in Uganda on an integrated HIV/AIDS program funded by USAID for two years- this was a capacity building building and grants management program that worked with local CSOs. For two years I worked in Botswana with Project Concern International- a capcity building intervention for CSOs in integration of post infection services at the family level including care for orphans and vulnerable children. My interests include,provision of technical assistance to CSOs to design culturally acceptable health programs, working with youth and children in prevention and bahaviuor change interventions, supporting interventions that integrate health and development issues to bring about lasting change in vulnerable communities.
