For the past three years, I have worked as a Supported Housing Worker in Nottingham, United Kingdom, for a social housing project providing accommodation and support to homeless and vulnerable young people. I taught English to high school students in China (Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province) for two years. Prior to this, I had a career in journalism and the media in Uganda spanning 14 years. I worked as a reporter, senior reporter, writer, editor and press freedom advocate. During that time I also gained a great deal of experience, skills and knowledge in working with people across Uganda in the area of good governance through my deep involvement as a civic educator, election monitor, media monitor and trainer of rural-based journalists.
