During my academic years and my working period, I have acquired the following qualities: (i) Responsibility and accountability, (ii) Decision-making, (iii) Research management and coordination, (iv) Monitoring and evaluation of surveillance systems, and Epidemiological experience in Communicable Disease management and infectious diseases (v) time management and to operate independently or as a team, (vii) Financial and Human Resource Management, take and give instructions. I have good communication and leadership skills with methodical and efficient approach to work and I’m able to co-ordinate various activities, be able to supervise and manage the departmental activities and write monthly, quarterly and annual reports from the collected data and the work done. I have advanced knowledge of computer skills in: MS word, Power Point, Excel, database development and management. I also have advanced knowledge/competency in statistical packages such as Epi-info, STATA, SPSS and Access. My interest is to contribute to the partnerships and joint efforts in addressing the challenges brought by HIV/AIDS and TB. Currently I’m working at the Department of Health and Social Development in Limpopo Province under Public Health Programmes managing Epidemiology Services sub directorate where I’m coordinating the Disease Surveillance systems, Hospital Infection Control, Communicable Disease Control, Monitoring and Evaluation of HIV & Syphilis Survey. Also responsible for providing the provincial epidemiological health profiles and involved in various training activities with District Health Information managers and CDC coordinators on Epidemic Preparedness and Response. Hoping that my interests and ambitions in Monitoring and Evaluation in the overall response to HIV/AIDS and TB, as well as commitment and support for human and epidemiological capacity development will weigh positively in evaluation of my application.
