I am a postgraduate in Social Work with five years of experience in the development sector, and one among those as international Volunteering with VSO (Continuing 20th month). My professional experience ranges from the learning’s I had during my job as a grassroots level worker till now where I am handling multiple assignments at the secretariat and of its network. I have experience in Project Cycle management, from conducting assessments, developing proposal, developing implementation plan and developing monitoring tools and also conducting regular monitoring of programmes. In the present job profile, with Community Based Development NGO Forum (CBD NGO Forum) as Organizational development Adviser (VSO Volunteer), Plateau state, Nigeria, my larger responsibilities are to work closely with the Program Coordinator in establishing the NGO as a national level; Project cycle management including training, capacity building in organizational assessment, strategic planning and organizational development and participatory planning and action etc; Liaisoning with various stakeholders; develop effective documentation and reporting systems; At all times ensure that systems are developed and followed with a focus on cost-effectiveness; promote the development of professionalism with in the organization and its staff members. I have also received a 2 weeks training on STAR (Society Tackling AIDS through Rights) and on PRA-tools and techniques. I am able to effectively apply participatory approach at any level of intervention based on the experience gained so far. I had previously worked with People’s forum at Malkangiri, Orissa, India leading with two government projects on domestic violence (Family counseling Center & Help line) as a Deputy program manager. I was responsible for training, capacity building for the staffs, networking and partnering with different government bodies & NGOs and overall management of the projects Professional Interest; To begin with, honestly my professional interest is to learn till the end of my life and objectively share my learning and skills with my organization, friends, relatives and the communities I am working with, for the sustainable development of the knowledge and skills. My career mission is to gather knowledge and build network to work for the global peace and brotherhood, “a globe free from suffering”.
