Organisation: International Women's Health Coalition
Role: Communications Director
Country: United States
For over ten years, I have been working in community relations, public policy and media. In 2007, I joined the International Women's Health Coalition as its communications director.
Our communications program is an critical component of our work with grassroots women's health and rights advocates around the world, as well as our work to influence national governments and global health policies and funding. We produce research, commentary and fact sheets for advocacy efforts; work closely with the media; help our partners around the world with capacity building and technical assistance in communications; and work extensively online to distribute action opportunities and provide advocates, the media and policymakers with information about women's health and rights.
I am interested in all aspects of communications, particularly the internet's capacity to advance advocacy agendas.
