Active over the last >25 years. A central interest in health equity that stems from his commitment to using science to redressing disease burden and political change to realizing health rights. Worked with international, academic and non-governmental organizations around the world. He worked with the Peace Corps in Nepal for three years and with the Britain Nepal Medical Trust until 1987. Prior to becoming Head of Health and HIV with Save the Children UK, served as vice president for operations with Axios International, foundering vice president of the International Trachoma Initiative, and associate with the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation’s Program for Tropical Disease Research. Volunteer service includes scientific committees and boards related to: infectious disease research; equity, gender and health; global governance and community development.
