Program Development: Ms. Cherow has served for several decades in Washington, DC as a senior level executive in non-profit professional, clinical,and educational organizations focused on public health, health care, (re)habilitation, and education program development, public policy advocacy affecting children and adults with disabilities, professional development for enhanced service delivery to children and adults. She has designed and conducted over 65 national virtual, on site, and distance education conferences, presented at over 60 national and international conferences, and authored profession-wide newsletters, monographs, texts, and articles. Domestic Policy Expertise: Ms. Cherow formed, led, and participated in national coalitions and interdisciplinary committees to shape U.S. federal and state legislative and regulatory policy. As facilitator of expert panels, she built consensus and promulgated preferred practices policy guidelines to improve national and international education, public health, and health care practices. She has served as an advisor to U.S. federal agencies (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Education, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Food and Drug Administration) on projects of national significance. International Expertise: Ms. Cherow has consulted on international projects designed to bring technology transfer and health care clinic development to India and to assess and build leadership profession-wide in the UK. With a strong network of collaborative colleagues in academia, professional associations, nonprofit and corporate sectors, she has evolved a mission oriented to address the role of education for sustainable capacity building and poverty reduction in developing and developed countries. Evelyn Cherow holds a Master’s in Public Administration degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and a Master of Arts in Audiology from Northwestern University.
