I possess Master of Arts in Sociology, Bachelor of Science in Botany Honors. I retain more than 12 years of work experiences that includes, nearly 1 year as Team Leader for Women and Youth- As Pillar of Sustainable Peace Program (WYPSP), 1 year as Peace Building Technical Coordination and 2 years as Project Manager for UJYALO Program (peacebuilding program), nearly 4 years as an Information Officer in CARE Nepal, 2 years as Information and NTFP Network Officer with Asia Network for Sustainable Agriculture and Bioresearches (ANSAB) and 2 years as a Program Officer with Centre for Rural Technology, Nepal (CRT/N). Most of my professional career has been devoted specially in the management of different projects. These projects specially focused in improving the quality of life of poor, vulnerable and socially excluded people and the project interventions focused in promoting and advocating for equitable and sustainable access of poor and marginalized to basic services and resources for secured livelihood and integrating rights, equity and governance perspectives to address systemic, structural and policy related causes of poverty and social justice. I am a peace building specialist with good working experience in wide ranges of field. I have valuable experiences integrating rights, equity, and governance in programs; promoting and advocating for equitable and sustainable access for poor, vulnerable and marginalized people to basic services and resources; building capacity for peace; mainstreaming gender equity in program; enhancing economic opportunities. I have good working experiences with respect to policy advocacy, conflict sensitive program management, peace building, disaster risk reduction and emergency response, knowledge management, rural appropriate technology for rural micro-enterprise, gender, energy and environment, climate change- adaptation, mitigation and response I have many years of experiences working in very remote areas of Nepal and have very good understanding of wide ranges of issues around poverty and conflict. I have worked with hundreds of community groups especially women's group (community forest user groups, mothers groups, youth clubs, action forums, peace promotion centres, women advocacy forums, child protection committees, school management committee) to support and strengthen women empowerment, community capacity for peace, livelihood security issues, community protection and conflict prevention and management. I have good experiences in designing projects, writing project proposals and reports, conducting monitoring and evaluation of peace building work. I am also confident in providing my leadership in post armed conflict reconciliation, UNSCR 1325, project/program management, strategy formulation process, peace-conflict assessment, analysis of underlying causes of poverty. I have good experiences working in child rights issue especially with regards to child right violations (monitoring and response). I have good experiences working with different peace networks, working in collaboration with different NGOs/INGOs in the area of peace and conflict.
