Nabil is a strategic leader with a successful record of accomplishments and experiences with a great deal of dedication and vision. Experience in providing individualized support to persons with disabilities and assisting them in improving quality of life. Strong knowledge of disability Inclusion. Experience in Accessibility and Assistive Technology solutions for “PEOPLE OF ALL ABILITIES” For over 23 years of research experience in various programs involving user centered experiments, focusing on access and inclusion of PWD. A public administration education background, he has held a variety of ICT4D positions in different sectors “Social life, education, capacity building, training Approach, social entrepreneur, e-learning and inclusive technology solutions“. His experience revolves around a vast array of accommodations for PWD and their families. Providing specialized active support to PWD and old people, developing, organizing, sharing and disseminating knowledge pertinent to targeted communities in the key areas of SDGs-Agenda 2030 (Community, Education, Employment Awareness and Diversity). Nabil also contributed in many international initiatives such as: ICT accessibility expert in preparing report by the Broadband Commission for Digital Development, IDA, ITU, Microsoft, the Telecentre Foundation and UNESCO (The ICT Opportunity for a Disability-Inclusive Development Framework). ICT accessibility and AT expert with International Telecommunication Union - ITU to provide a manual to guide regional organizations in making their meetings, workshops, trainings, and conferences accessible for persons with disabilities. National capacity building program, Training material on web accessibility and accessible digital content- ITU – Arab Regional Office Providing training on accessible “education, employability”, Universal Design and disability awareness. The other area of expertise that Nabil provides within the field of disability is in training and program development with ITU, Ruh Global Communication Organization and David Banes for access and inclusion. Nabil was a key component in the development programs with Telecentre Foundation and UN-ESCWA, building and managing of telecentres for students with disabilities and preparing regional plans and networking for different types of disabilities. He is entrepreneur with the creative skills, and capability to successful transformation and process development. Nabil has elected and appointed as Executive Secretary of Knowledge Networks through ICT Access Points for Disadvantaged Communities in Western Asia UN-ESCWA, KN4DC project and he led the project in seven Arab countries. Nabil is founder of the first ICT accessibility and Assistive Technology center for persons with disabilities in Syria. Author of “Disability and Bridging the Digital Divide” in English and Arabic, Also, “Arabic encyclopedia on disability for researchers” in addition he has written 5 Free eBooks, articles and prepared many programs that related disadvantaged communities in (inclusion, social life, access, employment and education) of PWD.
