This publication synthesises research undertaken by the Beligum-based NGO Le Collectif d'échanges pour la Technologie Appropriée (Network for Appropriate Technology), or COTA, on community radio in West Africa. The 5th publication in a series (Hors Série n°5), this publication is designed to help NGOs and other interested organisations take into account the communication potential of development projects undertaken by community radio, means of analysing this potential, and methodologies and resources to help other organisations conduct their own research or project set-up.
