With a Social Anthropology background I combine my filmmaking skills to create video that tells an interesting and authentic story. This includes documentaries, promotional videos, educational and training videos as well short and sharp social media videos - pretty much any kind of video work that is needed.
I also teach people how to make their own videos - specifically using a cell phone so that it is easy and accessible. Participatory filmmaking is a passion of mine, as it is a means to empower, share experiences and create real change.
My skills and experiences include producing, directing, teaching, filming and editing. I have worked with a large variety of NGOS as well as commercial enterprises and individuals. More recently I created a promotional video for iThuba empowerment initiative (a CSI for Lee Botti and Associates); I edited some short interviews for South South North; and am currently doing a cell phone video workshop for Activate Leadership.
