I served as Chief of Communications for UNDP Afghanistan, the biggest UNDP operation globally, where I led a creative communications team that produced videos, photos and compelling stories for the consumption of our website, and social media sites. These contents were targeted to our audience in Afghanistan, as well as in countries like the US, Great Britain, Europe, which have been funding the rebuilding efforts in Afghanistan.
In the past 12 years, I designed and implemented communications strategies; told stories of people living in harsh conditions in developing countries like Afghanistan, and how aid from the international community have improved their lives, mostly through digital media.
Recently, I created a business plan for a World Bank Afghanistan Facebook Live channel in Washington DC that will be implemented and expanded to the rest of South Asia countries.
If I am considered for any mid-level communications position, I will be able to draw on these experiences to design an overarching communications, engagement and digital media strategy for any development organization that will allow us and our country projects to effectively engage with local and global audience through creative events and digital/social media platforms and pitch their successes to national and international media.
