There is insufficient engagement of people living with HIV/AIDS in policy formulation

Comments

But is there sufficient

But is there sufficient involvement in designing and participating in monitoring and evaluation?

HIV and Policy Empowerment

Obviously vast differences exist across the HIV landscape by culture, by gender, by age, by poverty level, etc. Policy engagement by those who are already voiceless in their particular situations is one of the challenges. Giving people venues to tell their stories is a current avenue, but how that makes an impact on policy is unclear. Stories of donors and of organisations formulating policy that show how people living with HIV and AIDS have been engaged in their policy formulation and impacted it would be an even greater inspiration.

Policy Formation

This is of the truest things i ever heard or thought of. Basically, you will find the ministers and other people in chieftainship positions being the ones who formulate policies regardless the concerns of those infected.
