Obviously vast differences exist across the HIV landscape by culture, by gender, by age, by poverty level, etc. Policy engagement by those who are already voiceless in their particular situations is one of the challenges. Giving people venues to tell their stories is a current avenue, but how that makes an impact on policy is unclear. Stories of donors and of organisations formulating policy that show how people living with HIV and AIDS have been engaged in their policy formulation and impacted it would be an even greater inspiration.
This is of the truest things i ever heard or thought of. Basically, you will find the ministers and other people in chieftainship positions being the ones who formulate policies regardless the concerns of those infected.
