Strengthening Community Capacity through the Provision of Peer-led Technical Support

"Knowledge sharing is fundamental for creating action at scale..." Kevin Osborne, LINKAGES Project Director

The MSM Global Forum, with the support of the LINKAGES project (Linkages across the Continuum of HIV Services for Key Populations Affected by HIV), is running the Community Leadership and Action Collaborative online resource library, which has been built to serve key populations at risk for HIV and HIV-related disease, including men who have sex with men (MSM), sex workers, people who inject drugs, and transgender people. The library contains tools and materials aimed at assisting policy makers, educators, advocates, health care workers, and programme planners with building and strengthening communities through organisational and technical capacity.

The Community Leadership and Action Collaborative is a partnership between several AIDS and public health organisations including the AIDS and Rights Alliance for Southern Africa, the Global Network of People Living with HIV, the Global Forum on MSM & HIV, and the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition. The collaboration provides a variety of expertise in capacity building, information sharing, and creating partnerships for key populations who are working to develop needs-based programmes and better participation in policy dialogues. Within this resource library, policy makers, funders, advocates, implementers, and other stakeholders can access tools, share lessons, and promote best practices on HIV prevention, care, and treatment for key populations.
