Francis Rolt is an expert in radio for conflict prevention/management. His experience includes:

• Three years as an independent consultant in radio for peacebuilding, working as consultant (workshops, assessments and evaluations) and trainer. Includes coordination of a 7-country project for Search for Common Ground (SFCG), 2007 to end 2009
• Five years as Director of Radio for SFCG, managing all radio related issues (proposals, budgeting, reporting, and commissioning consultants and materials), 2002-2006
• Two and a half years as Director of Studio Ijambo, Burundi for SFCG, managing this radio production studio in a country in conflict (including design and oversight of new, purpose built studios), 1999-2002
• Experience of working in over twenty countries in Africa, South and South East Asia, and elsewhere
• Total of ten years as an analyst, or radio journalist/producer (BBC WS, RNI, RA), and consultant (Capital Radio RSA)
• Over 30 radio trainings/workshops conducted around the world in the past seven years (mostly in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia)
