Anna Lindh Journalist Award
The Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation's Journalist Award is a regional prize for reporting across cultures. It recognises positive media works addressing issues of cultural diversity and intercultural relations. It is open to journalists who are nationals of one of the 43 countries of the Union for the Mediterranean. The journalistic work should have been produced between July 1 2010 and July 15 2011. Priority will be given to young journalists.
The award categories are the following:
- "Award for print - Written articles by journalists published in a publication, newspaper, or magazine
- Award for television - Television magazines presented or produced by journalists
- Award for radio - Radio magazines produced by journalists
- Award for online media - Online media articles and works published by journalists
- Special Award for “Social Change and Democracy”: In response to the historical social transformation in the Euromed region, and particularly in Tunisia and Egypt, the Anna Lindh Foundation will recognize this year exceptional journalistic works on the theme ‘The role of civil society in social change’."
A lifetime achievement award will be bestowed each year by the international jury to a leading journalist or media institution for their professional commitment to intercultural dialogue.
