I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (Administration) from University of Ibadan, Master degree in Public Health (MPH) from University of Calabar, certificate in Leadership Strategic Health Communication and Leadership and Management in Health from University of Washington DC, USA. I am a Fellow of West African College of Nursing (FWACN).
I served as an LGA Disease Surveillance, Notification and Control Officer for World Health Organization (WHO), monitoring/evaluation focal person in European Union Partnership to Reinforce Immunization Efficiency (EUPRIME) project in Cross River, later became a consultant to EUPRIME as a trainer of health care workers on routine immunization in Cross River state. I also worked with Initiative for Adaptive Health NGO and Health for Dignity Living Initiative on youth reproductive health where I trained adolescents on life skills and empowerment of girl child for self –reliance.
I worked for Family Health International (FHI) as a Reproductive Health Officer (RHO) for Family Health International (FHI) in Global HIV AIDS Initiative in Nigerian (GHAIN) project where I coordinated David and Lucile Packard Foundation funded research on “Integration of HIV services into Reproductive Health especially Family Planning services in Cross River state” from 2008 to 2009. I initiated and implemented RH/HIV integration in FHI supported facilities from 2008 to 2011. I also, provided technical assistance on HIV (ART, PMTCT and HCT) and TB services during the GHAIN project. Provided volunteer services in FHI3660 in 2012 and served as ART consultant in FHI360 in 2012.
I am presently working with FHI360 as a Technical Officer Prevention and Mitigation (TO P&M) where I provide technical assistance to health providers in facilities and community structures (Community Based Organizations, Community volunteers, HIV support groups, Traditional Birth Attendant) on OVC programming, adolescent health care services, medical prevention, sexual prevention, HIV testing/counselling, reproductive health, gender mainstreaming into HIV care and support services, clinical/community base care and support services.
I received outstanding awards as the best Auditor in Nursing University Student Association in 1994 as the best Monitoring and Evaluation Officer from European Union Partnership to Reinforce Immunization Efficiency (EUPRIME) in 2006. Received recognition long standing service (Five years) with FHI360.
I have excellent skills in team coordination and leading, advocacy, networking, persuasion, public relations, negotiation, facilitation, documentation/analysis, motivation, mentoring, communication, program/human management, working with private sector, community groups, government agencies and good skill in the use of computer applications (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation packaging and internet.). I speak Efik (native dialect) English language fluently.
I am a Nigerian from Cross River State. I have worked in all communities of Cross River state. Socially, I have coordinated affairs of many organizations as president, Secretary of NGO, Public Relation Officer, treasurer, secretary and welfare officer.
