iMedia is a UK-based international media development and communications company. iMedia promotes innovative ways of working with rapidly converging media to tackle communications challenges presented by conflict, fragile governance and poverty. We work with donors, NGOs, mobile phone companies and broadcasters in our focal areas of sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. We provide a range of consultancy services, including media assessments and specialist training, as well as management and evaluation of media interventions. iMedia is currently implementing projects and supporting local partners to combat violent conflict and extremism in Nigeria and Pakistan using radio, print and mobile telephony. We are also conducting programme reviews and evaluations for DFID, Internews and BBC Media Action. In Ethiopia and Zambia we are building capacity of local teams to write and produce long-running radio dramas for social and behavioural change.
The Communication Initiative Network and Partnership convenes the communication and media for development, social and behavioural change community to share knowledge, connect, debate relevant issues, and critically review each other's work in order to advance effective development action across and between all development priorities.
