Health Communication Resources (HCR)

Health Communication Resources (HCR) is an international not-for-profit with registered offices in Australia, the UK and Pakistan, specialising in training grass roots community practitioners to utilise the power of community radio for positive social change.  HCR’s mission is to “equip communities and partners with the skills and resources to support community transformation and well-being through community-centred radio programming”. Taking a holistic approach to health this extends to all programs that have a positive impact on the social determinants of health (community issues), and have previously ranged significantly from community development programs to peace building initiatives. HCR provides support at all stages of the project cycle from project development to implementation to monitoring and evaluation. HCR's current major projects are in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and remote Australia working with Indigenous communities.

Covers all major development issues. Convenes the communication/media development, social/behavioural change community with a social network of 85,000 - please join. . When registered you can search the network to identify relevant support and connections.. Knowledge sharing - 35,000 summaries, 1 million users pa. Critical peer review - ratings, comments, dialogue.
