Facilitated by Siobhan Warrington and Clodagh Miskelly of Panos London, this interactive workshop will focus on the implementation of participatory communication activities in the context of HIV and AIDS. The facilitators will provide examples of different tools and approaches (participatory photography, oral testimony, video, and digital storytelling) and discuss the principles, practicalities, and ethical issues involved. The workshop will mix individual reflection, plenary discussion, and pair work. At the end of the workshop, participants will be provided with an international list of resource people specialising in designing and implementing participatory communication activities.
