Information on "Our Bodies, Our Rights: Young Women's Forum on SRHR - Vienna World AIDS Conference" (Monday July 19 2010, from 11:00-12:30, in Mini Room 10) - includes a focus on advocacy and leadership among young women. Requesting your response and ideas...

Facilitated by Sophie Dilmitis from Switzerland, this Young Women's Forum on sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) will be facilitated in 2 different sessions (at the beginning and end of the conference) to unite young women involved in the conference. The learning objectives are to impart skills around advocacy and to have strategic, effective conversations with leaders and policymakers. The purpose is to provide a safe space where young women, especially young women living with HIV and young women with diverse sexual identities, can reflect and discuss the issues that will be addressed at AIDS 2010 such as SRHR and linkages to HIV and violence against young women. This workshop will enable young women to share expectations, strategise on participation, gauge understanding on SRHR knowledge, identify advocacy opportunities and techniques for young women, and offer an opportunity to ensure that young women's participation at the event is coordinated, engaging, and valuable.
