Jan 27 2015 - Jan 28 2015

University College London (UCL) Institute for Global Health, London, United Kingdom

This multidisciplinary event in the United Kingdom is sponsored by BBC Media Action, University College London (UCL) Institute for Global Health, and the Umeå Centre for Global Health Research in order to assess the evidence base on mHealth, mobile technology, and new thinking and applications to improve the health of those in economically impoverished settings worldwide. The two-day conference will examine current debates around evidence within the fields of health systems and health education with a focus on tangible outcomes in resource-poor settings.

Abstracts are invited from any sector and any discipline but should have a focus on evaluation and impact on tangible health outcomes. Abstracts describing evidence and experiences in relation to health systems and/or health education are particularly encouraged. Papers developed from presentations at the symposium will be considered for publication in the peer-reviewed journal, Global Health Action. Abstract submission deadline: November 14 2014.

Academics, health professionals, development practitioners, postgraduate students, the media and the public are invited to attend. Free tickets are available to those wishing to attend. Click here for more information on tickets.
