The ninth eLearning Africa conference will be hosted under the theme "Opening Frontiers to the Future". It is expected to attract more than 1,400 participants from over 90 countries to discuss technology-assisted learning and share experiences about the latest challenges and initiatives in education and training. The conference is expected to address topics including infrastructure and Public-Private Partnerships, as well as showcasing the African innovation. The conference programme includes plenary sessions with world-class experts, smaller presentation and special focus sessions, practical demonstrations and debates on specific topics, as well as various informal networking opportunities in which practitioners share their experiences, ideas, new information and perspectives.

Registration information:

The Conference invites policy-makers, practitioners, teachers, innovators, anyone involved in ICT for development, education and training in Africa and the world, as well as anyone who wants to find out more about this ever-evolving field. Conference fees are €380 for African nationals, and €690 for other participants. The fees include conference materials, coffee breaks and luncheons on the main conference days. Group rates are available upon request. The above-mentioned fees do not include pre-conference events, accommodation, travel costs, or the Book of Abstracts.

Call for Proposals

The eLearning Africa 2014 call for proposals is open until January 15 2014. They are looking for the stories, experiences, research, thinking and expertise that make up the complex but thrilling picture of ICT for development, education and training in Africa today, under the overall theme of Opening Frontiers to the Future.
