Facilitated by Ishdeep Kohli from India, this workshop will seek to expand the understanding of online communities and their impact on HIV clinical management and social media as tools for HIV physicians. It will explore the ways in which countries with high incidence of HIV are benefiting from the internet, e-networking, and social media to improve information exchange efficiency. E-health challenges and opportunities for HIV physicians will be presented; knowledge of social media tools to assist rapid dissemination of cutting-edge HIV/AIDS research and evidence-based case management approaches to health care workers will be shared.
