HIV/AIDS Reporting ManualFecha de PublicaciónJulio 1, 2009
ResumenThis guide, published by the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF), has been designed for journalists who are covering the global HIV/AIDS epidemic for the first time and for those who have covered it previously. The material in this edition covers a broad range of subjects, including the challenges of reporting on HIV/AIDS, treatment and prevention strategies, key figures in the struggle against HIV/AIDS, and global efforts to finance the campaign against HIV/AIDS. Information is included about the political and social aspects of the epidemic, intended to provide journalists with guidance about navigating these issues. Additionally, there is information about malaria and tuberculosis. Much of this material has been written by KFF staff with experience in communication on HIV/AIDS, and some has been provided by outside organisations. KFF, along with the assistance of local reporters, also has produced several country-specific and region-specific manuals. Manuals are currently available in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Russian, and Ukrainian. (Click here to access the manual in these languages.) The general reporting manual, which is frequently updated online, should be viewed as a reference guide. More in-depth sources of information on HIV/AIDS can be found here. Additional material specifically developed for journalists can be found here. Table of Contents
