It seeks to empower participants with tools and sector-specific guidelines for gender mainstreaming in their various institutions and development planning. The aim is to further improve the abilities of participants to reduce gender inequalities in their own organisations and communities. The course will include references from key documents that highlight policies formulated to address gender concerns. It will feature a number of exercises and reflective activities designed to explore basic gender concepts and enhance gender analysis skills, which can be applied in the formulation of policies, the design of programmes, and conducting evaluations. However, applications will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. The course tuition fee is US$200. There is a limited amount of partial scholarships available for this course for applicants from developing countries, based on financial need.
