From Conflicts to Peace Processes: Enhancing Effectiveness and Impact in Peacebuilding (Feb 18 - 22 2008)Fecha de inicioFebrero 18 2008Fecha de términoFebrero 22 2008UbicaciónCluj-Napoca, Romania Event summaryOffered by the International Peace and Development Training Center (IPDTC) of the Romanian Peace Institute (PATRIR), this workshop has been created for those working in areas affected by conflict and working to contribute to peacebuilding and peace processes from the local to the national and international levels. The program is a practical, hands-on course designed to provide a dynamic and constructive environment to assess and reflect on experiences and to have the opportunity to learn practical and effective tools and methods, drawing from a broad-range of experiences in peacebuilding from around the world. Case-studies have been chosen for the practical lessons they illustrate and what can be drawn from them. The training itself is designed to take participants in-depth into learning tools for analysis and implementation, from community-based peacebuilding to facilitating multistakeholder dialogues and peacemaking mediation. Created for policy makers, practitioners, and those directly involved in peacebuilding, mediation, confidence and security building measures, and war to peace transitions, From Conflicts to Peace Processes is a pioneering program in the field. Participation Fee and Course Costs Participants from North America, Western Europe, S/E Asia/Oceania and OECD Countries:UR 750 Participants from all non-OECD countries: EUR 450 The participation fee covers the course costs/participation in the training program, accommodation, breakfast, lunch and three dinners (Monday, Tuesday and Friday), and all materials. It does not include personal expenses, transport to/ from Cluj-Napoca, international phone calls etc. Application Procedure There are a limited number of positions available.
