Reporting on Population, Health, and the EnvironmentResumenThe Population Reference Bureau’s publication, Reporting on Population, Health, and the Environment: A Guide for Central American Journalists, provides data and background information on the connections between population, health, and the environment in Central America to help Central American journalists cover these issues. The guide provides key data and information as well as story ideas and information sources. The human interest stories are included to help journalists focus attention on the topics and build connections between people and communities. Topics covered include the Millennium Development goals (MDGs), pollution, human health, economic development, loss of natural resources, food production, natural hazards, and risks to vulnerable groups such as the economically poor, elderly, and women.
