Deadline DateDecember 15, 2009
Journalists are invited to apply for a Nieman International Fellowship at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States (US). The fellowships are organised by the Nieman Foundation. The Nieman Foundation selects up to 12 International Fellows each year. International Nieman Fellowships are reserved for citizens of nations other than the US, including journalists with non-US citizenship working in the US or working for US media companies. Prospective Nieman fellows must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English in order to attend Nieman seminars and Harvard University classes available to them. Funds from the original Nieman bequest are restricted to US citizens. International candidates must find financial support from sources outside the Nieman Foundation; however, finding funding is not a condition of being awarded a fellowship. The Foundation will work with those selected to be Nieman Fellows to find the money needed. In addition, each of the nations listed below has a unique Nieman application, selection process, and submission deadlines. Please click here to access for more information.
