Opportunity DetailsPathfinder International, a global leader in Reproductive Health, seeks a Behavior Change Communications (BCC) Senior Advisor to lead the development and implementation of a range of evidence-based behavior change and communication strategies throughout the organization. The BCC Senior Advisor supports field offices in developing quality standards for communication activities related to our key programmatic areas; sexual reproductive health, contraception, maternal and newborn care, HIV/AIDS, adolescents, abortion and post abortion care and advocacy. S/he is responsible for providing professional development to Headquarters and Country Office staff in the area of BCC, developing BCC activities and tools, contributing to new business development efforts, and promoting a culture of sharing information. REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: Masters degree in one of the following or related fields: Communications, Health Education & Behavioral Science, or International Communications; extensive field experience with the US Government or at least 15 year of relevant experience in health and development communication in developing countries; up-to-date knowledge of global best practices in international communication and behavior change; Demonstrated experience developing effective, evidence-based health information and behavior change communication campaigns; proven record of accomplishment in designing, implementing and evaluating behavior change strategies in developing country settings; Ability to conduct BCC assessments, coordinate BCC plans/strategies with multiple stakeholders; advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience in layout design software (InDesign preferred); fluency in English is required; working knowledge of French or Portuguese a plus; ability to travel to developing countries up to 30% time; strong written and verbal communication skills.
