The Children’s Environmental Health Project (CEHAPE) invites entries of stories about projects and campaigns focused on how the environment affects children’s health and what environmental actions protect children. The second CEHAPE Awards aim to uncover and highlight innovative projects on the relationship between children’s environment and their health. The winners of each category will be awarded 1,000 Euros towards their project and will be invited to present their project at the Fifth Conference of Ministers on Environment and Health, "Protecting Children’s Health in a Changing Environment", March 2010, in Parma, Italy. Entrants must be based in one or more countries of the 53 in the World Health Organization (WHO) Europe region (see map with full list of countries).

There are eight individual categories for entry:

1. Water and/or Sanitation;
2. Accidents and/or Physical Activity;
3. Indoor Air and/or Outdoor Air;
4. Chemicals and or Radiation;
5. Youth Participation, Mobility;
6. Climate Protection, Schools.

The 2nd CEHAPE awards have been developed jointly by Women in Europe for a Common Future (WECF), the Health & Environmental Alliance (HEAL), International Society of Doctors for the Environment (ISDE) Austria, and the European Eco Forum, and are sponsored by the governments of Austria, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden, and supported by the European Commission.
