Summary
The Students and Teachers section of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) website is designed to increase awareness and understanding among teachers of hunger-related problems and allow them to easily integrate topics such as the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), particularly MDG 1 on economic poverty and hunger, into the mainstream academic curriculum. The site provides lesson plans and activities for teachers in addition to links to educational sites, educational resources, blogs, and interactive games for students. This is designed as a "one-stop" resource for those who want to know about hunger and what it will take to curb it. Categories include: Classroom Activities; Hunger Resources; Teaching Hunger: the blog; Fun and Learning; and related video clips.
