Description

The Center for Rural Development Communication (CRDC) at the University of Sindh serves as the clearinghouse of development communication-related problems and issues of the rural areas in Pakistan. It is in this context that the Center undertakes research and training programmes to facilitate the work of the proponents of rural development.

The Center's bilingual quarterly magazine, Keenar, focuses on raising public - and official - awareness of local, provincial, national, and international developmental issues and problems.

The Center has worked with national and international organisations including: the International Institute of Journalism, Germany; the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF); the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Programmes

  1. Diploma in Rural Development Communication - The CRDC offers a one-semester professional ‘Diploma in Rural Development Communication’ (DRDC). Participants have included government officials, non-governmental organisation (NGO) workers, and media professionals.

Rural Development

as we know very well that Pakistan is an agricultural country and maor part of its population is living in rural areas,so rural development is an important issue of this country.Pakistan can no achieve its developmental goals without development of rural areas.
This page contain some good information but surprisingly it is silent about Master degree programe of rural development offered by university of sindh pakistan,so please include this vital information at this page.
