The International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) are seeking films for their Development & Climate (D&C) Days Film Festival that will run December 12 - 13 2009 during the United Nations Climate Change Conference Copenhagen 2009 (COP 15). Professional and non-professional film makers are invited to send short films (up to 10 minutes) on climate and development. The deadline for sending a hard copy (DVD format) of your film is October 15 2009. The deadline for applying online is October 1 2009. Application InformationClick here to read about applying. Notes on the application process: - In order to promote discussions after screenings, IIED will give preference to films that can be introduced at the festival by a representative. Selected participants will be notified by email. - If you have more than 1 film: Please use only one individual form (provided on the website) per video. You can do this by filling out the details of the first film, submitting the information, and reloading the form again by accessing it again online from the link below. - For the selection process, you are asked to provide a URL where the film can be viewed online, if possible. - IIED will notify you as to whether your film has been selected or not at the end of November. - IIED requests the sending of a DVD that will be readable by a DVD player. If you are able, do also send your film in any of these formats on a separate DVD: AVI, MOV (quicktime), MPEG-1, or MPEG-4. Click here for more information.
