DescriptionDrama for Life (DFL) is hosted by the Division of Dramatic Art in the Wits School of Arts. The DFL Programme is an African Programme that seeks to enhance the capacity of young people, theatre practitioners, and their communities to take responsibility for the quality of their lives in the context of HIV and AIDS in Africa. Drama for Life achieves this through participatory and experiential drama and theatre that is appropriate to current social realities and draws on the rich indigenous knowledge of African communities. DFL offers Honours, Masters, and PhD programmes that seek to build capacity in HIV and AIDS education through applied drama and theatre. DFL encourages outstanding performers, drama and theatre practitioners, teachers, lecturers and researchers, theatre and film writers, film makers, performing arts managers, and arts heritage researchers to apply for the courses.
