Mildmay Uganda in conjunction with the African Network for Strategic Communication and Development (AfriComNet) is organising a short course on Strategic Communication in HIV/AIDS. This course is designed for people working in HIV/AIDS programmes, as well as other professionals who need to update their skills and knowledge in the area of strategic communication in HIV and AIDS. This course intends to foster continuous learning so that participants continually improve the way they analyse, design, develop, implement, and evaluate HIV/AIDS related communication interventions and programmes.

The course will focus on:

• Facts about HIV and AIDS
• Theories of Behaviour Change
• Communication Models
• Strategic Design and Development and Management of HIV Communication Messages
• Monitoring and Evaluation of HIV-related Communication Interventions

The course is designed for programme managers, communications officers, human resources managers, trainers, public relations officers, and health professionals working in the area of HIV and AIDS and communication. Tuition fee is US $ 1,200 payable to Mildmay Uganda.
