HIV and AIDS Training and Capacity Building: Trends and ChallengesStart DateJune 24 2009End DateJune 25 2009LocationKigali, Rwanda Event summaryThis conference, hosted by the Regional AIDS Training Network (RATN) in collaboration with Kigali Health Institute (KHI), is designed to provide an opportunity for organisations and institutions engaged in capacity building and training for responses to HIV and AIDS to share and exchange ideas and experiences. The objective is to facilitate the development of synergistic relationships between policy makers, researchers, activists, and practitioners from government, academia, and civil society in the Eastern and Southern African region. Through sharing of experiences and lessons learned, the conference hopes to facilitate agencies to build consensus on current gaps in research and capacity as well as innovative and practical approaches and strategies which can be adapted to address those gaps. The conference registration fee for international participants is US$100 and local participants US$50, which covers teas, lunches, and conference materials.
