Adobe Youth Voices International Photo CompetitionRegion
Global
Deadline DateNovember 1, 2009
Adobe Youth Voices (AYV), a global youth media initiative, and the nonprofit What Kids Can Do, Inc. invite youth photographers for a second round of photo submissions for this international photo competition. The theme "Crisis and Hope" offers an opportunity for youth around the world to express themselves through photographs on both what is challenging and what gives hope. The organisations describe their theme as follows: "When written in Chinese or Japanese, the word 'crisis' is composed of two characters - one represents crisis or danger, and the other represents hope or opportunity." Winning photographs will be showcased online, in a travelling exhibit, and in a book. The contest is open to all young people between the ages of 12 and 19.
