Description

The Faculty of Communication Arts is one of the 18 faculties in Chulalongkorn University. Founded in 1965, it was originally an independent department named the Department of Mass Communication and Public Relations. It became an official Faculty in 1974, known publicly as the Faculty of Communication Arts. The Faculty owns a library, two classroom and administration buildings, and modern educational and technological equipment. It consists of over 70 full-time faculty members.

Programmes

  1. Masters Degree Programme in Development Communication - This programme focuses on the role of communication in various areas of development. It seeks especially to apply communication as a tool to manage social change. It includes a wide range of topics such as health, environmental communication, political communication, community development, and others. Problem-based, community-based, and case-based studies are used as teaching and learning techniques.

    Key research areas include:
    1) Communication for social, political, environmental, health, cultural, and economic development
    2) Strategies and processes.
