The Luo Hong Foundation in conjunction with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has launched the 2nd Chinese Children’s Painting Competition. This competition is aligned with the UNEP International Children’s Painting Competition held annually since 1990. The theme of this year’s Chinese Children’s Painting Competition is Climate Change: Our Challenge. The initial selection of the paintings will be completed at the school level, and shortlisted paintings will be presented for national selection, which will be made by a team of judges. The panel of judges will be composed of renowned Chinese artists, UNEP officials, and the Chinese Children’s Painting Competition Chair. The first prize paintings from the national selection will be submitted to the global selection of the UNEP International Children’s Painting Competition. As in previous competitions, the first prize winners of the Chinese Children’s Painting Competition will be invited by the sponsor, Mr. Luo Hong, to attend an award ceremony at UNEP Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.
